China-U.S. Scientific Engagement on Sustainability: Sustainability and Planetary Health, Key Issues and Possible Solutions - Online Workshop II

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will convene a public workshop, China-U.S. Scientific Engagement: Sustainability and Planetary Health, Key Issues and Possible Solutions on 20-21 June 2023. This is the second in a series of three workshops to promote scientific coordination, cooperation, and collaboration between China and the United States on sustainability issues. The public is invited to join virtually. Please register in advance to receive information on how to attend the workshop (online or in-person). 

The workshop will examine the state of planetary health and sustainability research and identify priority areas for scientific collaboration to promote sustainability and planetary health in China and the United States. Discussions will also include issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop is expected to bring together experts from governments, academia, and nongovernmental and international organizations involved in sustainability and planetary health issues in China, the United States, and globally. A summary of the event will be issued and widely disseminated to the sustainability community.
