EASAC celebrates 15 years

Hosted by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters in Oslo, EASAC recently celebrated its 15th anniversary and presented its experiences in providing 'Science Advice for Europe'

On 10-13 May 2016, EASAC celebrated its 15th anniversary.

The event, which took place in Oslo, was hosted by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

At the event, EASAC presented an overview of its experiences in providing 'Science Advice for Europe' - the title of a short report published for the occasion.

The report, subtitlerd 'Past-Present-Future', features chapters on:

  • Building science into EU policy: the history of EASAC, 2001–2015, by Peter Collins
  • EASAC and the role of Europe’s national academies of science by Jos van der Meer, Christiane Diehl, Robin Fears and William Gillett

It also lists all EASAC's reprots, statements and journal publications from the past 15 years.
