The workshop, hosted by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) is jointly organized by the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) and Ege University in Izmir and supported by IAP.

The Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) will host the workshop on Women in Science and Technology on 28-31 May 2014 in Izmir, Turkey. This workshop is jointly organized by the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) and Ege University in Izmir and supported by IAP.
The aims of the workshop are to recognize and discuss the status of women in science and technology, and to explore methods how to promote women scientists and appropriate them to AASSA member countries. The workshop will be part of a series of many important activities for the advancement of women in science in Asian countries.

Call for abstracts:
Applicants are invited to submit a one-page abstract in English with a brief C.V. by e-mail to uluslararasi@tuba.gov.tr and arzume@hotmail.com by March 28, 2014.
Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified by the end of April, following a peer review.
