The CATALYST project has identified knowledge about best practices in capacity development for hazard risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
CATALYST is an international initiative funded by the European Commission Seventh Framework Programme FP7. It includes TWAS, the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries, among its partners. TWAS is also a member of IAP, the global network of science academies.
CATALYST has combined local knowledge with the latest science, producing four "Best Practice Papers" that focus on each region at risk: Central America and the Caribbean; South and South-East Asia; East and West Africa; and the European Mediterranean region.
