IANAS Water Programme Meeting takes place in Lima, Peru, 1-5 December 2013

The focus of the meeting of IAP's Affiliated Regional Network, IANAS (InterAmerican Network of Academies of Sciences), will be to discuss progress on the book on “Urban Water Challenges for the 21st Century”. The meeting will also focus on actions for 2014 which will include the organization at least of one regional workshop and future interactions with UNESCO and the Network of African Science Academies (NASAC).

As part of the planned events, IANAS will be joining the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of The National Academy of Science of Peru, which includes a meeting with government Ministers and national experts on water, together with a visit to science facilities in Peru aimed at sustainable water management.
